Join the campaign to update a vital creative space in the Hoffman Center into an exciting venue for writers and other users. For years the “Writing Lounge,” the room to the right of the Hoffman Gallery, has been a refuge for writers to work together on their craft. It also serves as meeting space for volunteers to develop new programming, and a “green room” for musicians and other performers.
Thanks to funding from generous donors and design support from Manzanita artist Scott Wilson of Polaris Gallery, the space is poised for enhancements that include a resource library for writers and artists, a display wall for art, and furniture that can be configured for individual writing or workshops and meetings. The new Writing Lounge will be a light-filled, comfortable space promoting inspiration, creativity, and productivity within the community.
A group of anonymous donors has committed $3,500 towards the $5,000 needed for this project. We have the month of April to raise the final $1,500. You can help by making a contribution. Fifteen $100 donations would get us there! Or really, any amount you can afford will help us reach our goal.
