Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Hoffman Center for the Arts!

 

Airlie Press poet Nicole Alston Zdeb will read from her new collection, The End of Welcome.

Awarded poets from the 2026 Neahkahnie Mountain Poetry Prize contest will read their winning poems to open this annual event celebrating poetry.

Books will be available for sale and signature.

Airlie Press is a nonprofit publisher run by writers, dedicated to cultivating and sustaining fine contemporary poetry and to promoting poets from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

 

Nicole Alston Zdeb is the author of The End of Welcome, her first full-length poetry collection. Her chapbook, The Friction of Distance, was published by Bedouin Books in 2011. Born in Vermont and raised in Connecticut, Nicole now lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, writer Jamie Braxton Cooper. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and graduated cum laude from the Honors College at the University of Connecticut. Nicole is an editor at Airlie Press and works at the University of Kansas.
