Handmade Ceramics by Barbara Temple Ayres

I was a frustrated artist until my senior year in college when I changed my major to art, from philosophy and German lit.  I took a night class in ceramics and was smitten!  I went on to get an MAT in teaching art, but became a studio potter for the next 12 years instead. Then, a twenty-five year hiatus to raise a family, start a school and teach elementary kids.  When Hoffman Center was created, I donated my pottery equipment to help get the clay studio off the ground and voilà!
