Botanical Drawing – Summer Fruit

What is the taste of summer? Undoubtedly, if you live in the Pacific Northwest, the smell of ripe cherries, strawberries, blueberries, and huckleberries is enough to send your salivary glands into overdrive. Perhaps your drawings could achieve the same effect! In this workshop, we will draw fruit from your garden or the forest. We will review creating a round form by adding darker value and directional marks, plus we will experiment with adding a highlight to your shiny shape. Feel free to work in your sketchbook, toned paper, or any surface of your choice.

Pencil (either H or F)
