Artist Lecture and Glasswork Demonstration

Angelita is a glass artist and painter working in Portland, who focuses on the landscape observed on her woodland hikes. She is represented in public and private collections and exhibits her work nationally. Her current paintings and glass works reflect a deep-rooted love of the landscape and an acknowledgement of the path led by other landscape artists. Angelita’s works are informed by the tangled grasses and reflections at the water’s edge, and the branches and thickets of the forest understory. She finds nature to be her best teacher. Angelita has exhibited in galleries locally and nationally for over 40 years and enjoys doing commissioned work for private and public art projects. The glass work came about after several years as a painter and wanting to say something only possible in glass. During this artist lecture and demonstration , she will be sharing some of her glass making processes followed by a tour of the gallery to discuss techniques used in works on view. Questions are always welcome. There will be fire involved!
