Janice is a ceramic artist based on the north Oregon coast and has called Manzanita home for over thirty years. With nearly four decades of experience as a massage therapist, she brings a deep sensitivity to the tactile nature of working with clay, finding joy in the creative and imaginative process.
She describes working on the wheel as a structured, rule-based practice—both mesmerizing and productive that reflects her love of discipline and focus. Janice’s deep connection to nature guides her artistic expression, offering her a sense of solace and tranquility, especially in times of chaos. Through her work, she strives to convey peace, kindness, warmth, and a connection to the natural world, with the hope of bringing smiles and a sense of belonging to those who experience it.
