Writing from the Perspectives of the More-than-Human World

We are not often asked to consider the lives of other beings or landscapes on their own terms. Meanwhile, literature is recognized as a rare means to enter the thoughts and feelings of people and characters different from ourselves to cultivate empathy. What happens when we extend this practice to the more-than-human world? In this workshop, we will explore texts making this leap and play with what we discover to expand our own creative writing. Writers of all genres and backgrounds are welcome for this one-day creative writing workshop.Materials required: writing utensils, paper/journal, and/or laptop or tablet if preferred for writing exercises
