The eighth edition of the North Coast Squid, a journal of writing and art, published in 2021.
North Coast Squid 8th Edition
Wow. The latest edition of the Squid has flown off the shelves. We just have a few copies left, so we’re saving them for sales in the Hoffman Gallery.
The publication, with more pages and more color images than ever, includes the work of 63 contributors with connections to the North Oregon Coast.
It was curated by Oregon authors, Deb Vanasse and Apricot Irving, and poet Margaret Chula, and features Dorota Haber-LeHigh’s gorgeous botanical drawing on the cover.
The Squid is produced by a dedicated team of Hoffman volunteers and is funded mainly by sponsorships and the cover price. All proceeds benefit future editions of the publication.
In addition to the Hoffman Gallery, there are also a few copies available to purchase the Squid at the following locations:

- Wheeler: The Roost
- Garibaldi: Maritime Museum
- Tillamook: Tillamook Country Pioneer Museum
