Liven up your winter afternoon by joining us for the next Writers Read event, this one featuring local poets whose work has been nurtured through their participation in Hoffman Center writing programs taught by notable Manzanita poet Emily Ransdell. You’ll hear from Lori Dillon, Katja Biesanz, Phyllis Mannan, Tela Skinner, Marcia Silver, Sue McGrath, and Marko Smith, as well as Emily herself.
Join us as we create a virtual version of our legendary “open mic” sessions in the Hoffman’s hospitable space, and spend 45 minutes listening to the literary voices of your friends and neighbors in the comfy surroundings of home.
The reading is free, but we very much encourage you to visit the Hoffman link here and contribute to our community efforts to keep connected through creative programs of all kinds.
Poets from Emily Ransdell’s first Poetry as Discovery class will read selections of the work created there.
