Creative Lettering for Sketchbook Journaling
with Melissa Young
via Zoom

You will be sent a link to join the workshop via Zoom the day before the workshop
We invite you to log on fifteen minutes early if you need a short tutorial on using Zoom

Try your hand at creative lettering! Melissa Grace Young leads the team with exercises to increase your comfort level while creating passages and headers with impact.

In this 4 hour workshop, you’ll expand on a story theme of your choosing. You’ll include images of a figure, a place, and something that flies or otherwise moves.

And you’ll bring verbiage to the table; pick a header, subtitle, a ‘verse’, a passage, and a quote. Tips for printing images from your computer will be provided as well as a download for fonts.

In this sample page, the header is SUFFRAGISTS, the subtitle 19th AMENDMENT, the verse is the XIX amendment, the passage trails behind the moving object, and the quote comes from the figure’s mouth. It’s always exciting to see what the other participants bring to class and how they turn out on the pages we share at the end in show and tell. Please join us with your story!
