Dave Holt (he/him/his) has spent all but 4 years of his life living in the Pacific Northwest – primarily Yakima, Seattle, Portland and Manzanita. Professionally, he has had two fun careers. The first being the restaurant industry where he owned and managed restaurants in Hawaii (Ray’s Hawaii) and Seattle (1904 and Italia). His second career, when he turned 40, was in the wine business where he eventually became the President of Dalla Terra, a national Italian Wine importing company that is considered to be one of the leaders in the US Italian wine market.
As an individual, Dave has been fortunate to have been surrounded by art and artists for most of his life. His extended family in Yakima included artists and family dedicated to supporting the local and regional art scenes. During his professional career, Dave served as a board member and board chair of On The Boards in Seattle, served one term on the Seattle Arts Commission under Mayor Norm Rice, was a member of the Board of Governors for the Pacific Northwest Art College in Portland and has served in a variety of volunteer positions at the Hoffman Center for the Arts, including managing the HCA art gallery from 2020 – 2021.
