Agatha–Kiley Grantges

Agatha hid things in the attic,
but no one ever knew.
Accumulated artifacts and modern makings
that perhaps possessed some woo-woo.

One could gander they were trivial,
but such a statement would be too bold.
Some objects were shimmering silver,
while many others glittering gold.

A treasure trove of endless stories,
with wondrous worth and meaning,
souvenirs from previous lives
haunted, speaking, breathing.

Kiley Grantges is an artist in Astoria, Oregon. The work she creates harkens back to youthful years spent making up stories for her dolls, playing dress-up, and an endless interest in human behavior. Each character illustration and poem is a curiosity for and celebration of the multitudes we hold within us.
