Application sample and requirements:
  • 5-6 sample pieces, high quality digital images.
  • Work should not have been previously exhibited at the Hoffman Center or included in a Hoffman publication.
  • Please show us recent work (within the last 4 years).
  • You may not have been featured in the gallery in within the prior two years (it is okay to have participated in group shows).
  • Please note our gallery is just shy of 400 square ft, so very large work can sometimes pose a challenge.
  • We support work from emerging as well as established artists.
  • We are not accepting applications from galleries at this time.
Selection process:
Each year Hoffman Center for the Arts identifies a rotating curatorial committee, made up of curators, artists, and community members.
  • The curatorial committee evaluates work based on artistic strength and originality.
  • We typically pair two 2-D artists with one 3-D artist.
  • Strong consideration is given to artists with a demonstrable interest in, or connection to, the north Oregon Coast.
  • The curatorial committee will also create a waitlist to be used in case any selected artists are not available.
Artists will be notified in late October/early November about the status of their application.

The Potters’ Nook

Associates of the Hoffman Clay Studio are invited to show and sell the work they’ve created in the Studio. We are proud of the artists who work and volunteer in the Clay Program.  Their efforts sustain the studio as a place to create, learn and collaborate.  We are also happy to offer visitors the chance to purchase original, local art on site. Commissions on the work go directly to support operations and equipment in the Studio.

Hoffman Artist Studio Tour
