Expressions of gratitude can inspire and uplift us. Over the last several weeks, our friends and neighbors have described, in poetry and prose, some of the things for which they’re thankful.
They’ve shared stories about loved ones and the majesty of nature. About strokes of serendipity and acts of generosity. But there have also been some surprising tales: the blessing of a father’s dementia and the haze in which he found peace and happiness; the hearing aid that allowed a 40-year love story to continue unabated; and the snoring of a spouse, still alive, and sleeping peacefully on the other side of the bed.
We hope you’ll take a few minutes to check out Community Writes, read the submissions from our contributors, and consider submitting a piece of your own. Tell us….. what are you grateful for?
