HCA Seeking Executive Director
Dear Friends,
The all-volunteer Hoffman Center for the Arts has launched a search for its first paid executive director since opening in 2004.
“Manzanita is growing, and the Hoffman needs to grow with it,” said Mary Roberts, Board President. “Our new executive director will support our volunteers, engage the community, and collaborate with the Board of Directors in realizing a sustainable future for the Center.”
“Volunteer participation is not only welcome, it’s essential to the Hoffman. Consistent with national trends though, people want shorter, more flexible volunteer opportunities than before,” explained Hoffman Vice President, Janice Slonecker Berman. “While we envision modest growth at this time, we must make volunteering more rewarding through efficiencies and by finding additional resources to take on necessary tasks.”
Located in downtown Manzanita, the Hoffman offers a monthly schedule of exhibitions of works by local and regional artists in its retail sales gallery and a fully equipped ceramics studio open to the public on a fee basis. It offers writing workshops, publications, and art and horticulture classes, many using the Wonder Garden across the street from the Center.
Letters of interest and resumes are being accepted at [email protected] from now through April 30 or until the position is filled.
