Over Sky: An Ayahuasca Tale
Jackie Politzer travels to Peru to visit an old friend conducting ethnobotanical research in the Amazon rainforest. An unexpected change in plans plunges her into an adventure featuring deadly snakes, pink dolphins and indigenous shamans. Joining a group of western tourists who have arrived in the jungle to drink ayahuasca, Jackie taps into the mythical Akashic Hall of Records, a mystical compendium of universal knowledge in which every thought, event, and action in the history of the cosmos is recorded. Revisiting her own history puts her face to face with a profound and long-simmering grief. Will she receive the healing that ayahuasca adherents claim the jungle brew offers?
Over Sky: An Ayahuasca Tale is a timely tale for an age in which interest in non-Western healing modalities—particularly psychedelics—is exploding.
