Hoffman Center Clay Studio | 594 Laneda Avenue | Manzanita
Day One of this two-part workshop will cover hand-building techniques including building with slabs, construction for function and aesthetics, and decorating. Students will apply these techniques to create a lidded container.
Instructor: Donna Miller has been a ceramic artist for over 10 years. Her works are known for their texture and flow. Some are whimsical and guaranteed to make you smile.
Day Two will introduce glazing basics, supplies and methods as well as explore glazing techniques and use of applied wax design to successfully glaze ceramic pieces made during Day One session.
Instructor: Kathleen Kanas is a life-long creative known for both her baskets and ceramics works. Her works are much sought after. Her style and variety of decorating techniques continue to evolve. She is owner and primary artist at 4th Street Gallery in Manzanita.
