Soulful Artmaking:
A Creative Practice for Navigating Life & Self Discovery
Join artist Jessica Schuller as we explore the personal meaning behind color, shape, size and texture as it relates to our physical and emotional well-being. Using methods like collage, mark making and intuitive painting with acrylics and watercolor, we will discuss topics like “felt sense,” intuition, symbolism, abstract and literal representation, all while exploring our use of language and writing. Music based on rhythm and sound will inspire our creativity.
Participants will learn how creativity can be a powerful outlet and provide a safe space for self-discovery and nurturing our well-being.
All materials will be provided but do bring any favorite pens or paper, your curious spirit, and comfortable clothes to paint in!!
Instructor Biography:
Jessica Schuller is an artist & women’s coach with a long-time connection to the north coast. In her practice, she uses creativity to support healing, learning, and personal growth. Although her background is in fine art and graphic design, health struggles shifted her relationship to art making. She began using art as a tool for healing and self-expression. Through this process, she experienced the power and true potential of the creative process. This has inspired Jessica’s work to this day.
