Procreate Workshop, Part 1 & 2
Led by digital artist Jen Hoff, this beginning Procreate workshop is focused on exploring the tools available to you within the Ipad software Procreate. Similar to Photoshop or Illustrator, Procreate allows you to make complex digital creations. Whether you like to hand-draw, paint, do graphic design, or creatively modify photos, Procreate can be a fun digital canvas environment. Participants will learn about digital canvas creation, using layers, painting with existing brushes or creating your own, and how to create and use palettes.
Come prepared to play, create, and ask plenty of questions as you navigate this powerful and fun tool!
Note: Participants will need to bring an iPad with the Procreate app, which is available for $12.99. Although you can sketch, paint, and edit images using your finger, we do recommend that you bring an Apple Pencil or compatible stylus.
About Jen Hoff
Jen has been a mixed media and digital artist for over 18 years. Both her digital work and mixed-media paintings begin digitally using Procreate. Once that portion is complete, her mixed-media work is printed on fine art paper so she can add acrylic, ink, charcoal and paper. Each piece is either matted and framed or adhered to a birch board. Jen’s artwork has won an award from the Colorado Gallery of the Arts, been displayed in public installations, and has been included in group shows in Denver & Breckenridge, Colorado, Austin, Texas, and along the Oregon coast. She has completed numerous commissions and was previously represented by a gallery in Breckenridge, Colorado.
