How to Survive a Storm–Barry Paul

Poetry:

Stand strong in the rain
for fear falls on us all.
It drips and pools,
tickling uncomfortably down the spine,
exploring each gap in our defenses,
before trickling to the earth below.
Then coursing by river to the sea
it joins with every other drop
where together they roar with the relentless power of nature.

Let it flow over you or drown,
For it is irresistible

Born on the island of Ireland Barry Paul has always been connected to the sea. Today he lives in landlocked Hood River, but his heart resides at the Oregon Coast. For over two decades, his family has had a cabin in Manzanita and has forged strong ties to the community there.
