A Million Bells Ringing

The bright basket of calibrachoa
shines in the luminous afternoon sun,
flirtatious hot pink and lemony yellow.
Gazing through my window, my heart sings.
Then a flash of movement,
a hummingbird seeking nectar
to fuel its afternoon travels.
I gaze in sheer delight as it visits
each blossom and greets it with a kiss.
