Teapot Workshop

Whether you are an experienced wheel thrower or hand-builder, you will enjoy this opportunity to learn the art of teapot making from Barbara Temple Ayres and Kathy Kanas.  Along with degrees in art and education, this duo has more than 25 years combined experience in ceramics and teaching and share a genuine passion for all things clay.

The teapot class is a full-day workshop starting with the construction and decoration of the vessel.  While the vessel is drying, attention will be turned to spouts, handles and lids.  A long lunch break gives time for the clay to dry so that the components may be joined in the afternoon session.

You may bring your own ceramics tools or use the tools in the clay studio at no charge.

Proof of vaccination is required; masks are optional but always a good idea when working in a clay studio.
