Our Manzanita Day raffle has one objective: to fund the coming year in the Hoffman Wonder Garden. We need more plants! New edging! And scoff if you must at our creaky knees, but we need a few garden kneelers for our (otherwise) indomitable volunteers!
FIRST PRIZE – Manzanita Watercolor by artist Bonnie Kost
Depicted in this 7”x9” watercolor is a very beguiling interpretation of Arctostaphylos ‘Diablo’s Blush’, one of the favorite manzanitas in the Wonder Garden.
A thousand thanks to local artist Bonnie Kost for not only choosing this plant as her subject but creating this gorgeous piece solely for our raffle.

SECOND PRIZE – Private Garden Consult
with Ketzel Levine
Perhaps you’ve taken one of Ketzel’s tours through the Wonder Garden and are familiar with her extensive plant knowledge.
Turns out she’s not half-bad when it comes to garden design, either.
During your one-hour consult, she’ll help you identify what works for you in your garden, what you want changed and how to get there.

THIRD THROUGH TENTH PRIZES: A Free Manzanita!
Our enormous thanks to Cistus Nursery on Sauvie Island and to Xera Plants in Portland for their manzanita donations and discounts. Both nurseries boast owners who are the smartest kids on the block when it comes to the genus and which species thrive on the coast.
Pick-up will be arranged for an April date in the Wonder Garden.
