Advanced Throwing with Joe Robinson
SOLD OUT

The Hoffman Clay Studio is fortunate to have Joe Robinson in-house for a unique, multi-day workshop in advanced throwing techniques for experienced potters.

About Joe
Robinson was born and raised in Oregon and first touched clay in public school at age 13. He has been making works in clay on the potter’s wheel for over 20 years. Joe earned dual BA degrees in Studio Art and Business from Linfield College. After graduation, Joe began a corporate career in Los Angeles.

In 2018, he jettisoned the corporate chains and earned a Master of Fine Arts in Applied Craft and design from Oregon College of Art and Craft and Pacific Northwest College of Art and now teaches ceramics at Linfield University.  He is co-owner of the 20-acre East Creek Art center located in Oregon’s coastal mountains near Willamina.

About the Workshop
In these sessions potters will have the rare opportunity to focus on their own throwing interests and challenges with a master potter who can diagnose and coach on those issues in real time.

The workshop will include demos, hands-on instruction and more than 7 hours customized coaching to improve individual skills.
