Tuition $30 | Materials Fee: $10 (paid to instructor)
This workshop is open to adults and children 8 years and older. Bring your family, friends or neighbors for this four-hour workshop. Kids aged 8 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult. (Accompanying adults must register as well.)
Origami, the art of paper folding invented by the Japanese in the 8th century,
is today practiced by people of all ages around the globe. 
Join artist and instructor Angela Thomas to explore and experiment with the art of folding paper. Thomas will guide and demonstrate folding techniques that will encourage participants to learn and master models. More challenging models will also be demonstrated.
Artist Angela Thomas earned a master’s degree in Art Therapy from Marylhurst University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Oregon University. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults in metal health agencies as well as academic settings since 1999.
Thomas’s commitment, as an artist and a teacher, is to inspire students to discover their inner artist and to facilitate self-expression. She believes in giving people the artistic tools and language they need to understand and explore art at their own pace and in their own way. Thomas says:
“There is no right or wrong way to create art in my class.”
Origami paper and instructions for making models will be provided to students and are included in the materials fee.
