Summer Poetry Kickstart

Dates: Every other Thursday — June 2, 16, 30, July 14, 28,  August 11, 25.
Time: 10 am-12 pm
Location: Zoom
Tuition: $49
Pre-registration is required.
Energize your writing this summer with this no-pressure writing series for poets of all levels.
No pressure means no assignments, no deadlines, no critiques! Just a short lesson on fundamentals with a close read of an example poem, then private writing time.
Writing together can be a game-changer, even on Zoom. If you don’t yet have a writing routine, it’s a great way to start one. If your regular writing tends to slack during the summer, being accountable to a like-minded group can  get you back in the groove.
A prompt will be offered, but you’ll be free to work on whatever you want. We’ll check back in with each other toward the end for a few minutes of optional sharing.
This class has no prerequisites or limits on class size. All are welcome.
About the instructor: Emily Ransdell is a part-time resident of Manzanita with an MFA in Poetry. She co-leads the Manzanita Writers Series PoetryFest and is the founder of the popular Word & Image Project at the Hoffman Center. She has published widely.  Listen to Emily read samples of her work.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
